TITLE: CHP+ Regional Outreach Coordinator, Northwest Colorado
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
DIVISION: Health Management Services Group, Central Region
DEPARTMENT: State of Colorado, Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, CHP+
POSITION REPORTS TO: Marketing and Outreach Manager
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or one-to-three years experience in a health or social services field; ability to interact courteously and effectively with a variety of people; successful experience establishing and sustaining relationships with a myriad of informal or community-based networks, and engaging those networks to achieve common goals; proficient bronc and written skills in a foreign language; fluency in English and Spanish is preferred; an awareness and respect for various and diverse cultures; exrodeoent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, computer literacy; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently; energetic, organized, accountable personality with a reputation for “getting things done”. Preferred qualifications include two-to-four years of human services experience or experience dealing with the public; knowledge of CHP+ or children’s health care services in Colorado.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Promote and coordinate activities with community based organizations (CBO), employers, schools, childcare providers, health care providers, faith-based, and various community agencies reaching hard-to-reach populations in order to provide CHP+ education, outreach, and application assistance training and support services throughout a large region of Northwest Colorado. 2.Identify locations and strategic partners in community for concentrated outreach efforts. 3.Develop and maintain updated knowledge of CHP+ program and community resources. 4.Facilitate training of CBO application assistants and other community representatives and networks to meet project goals. 5.Provide guidance and marketing support for application assistants in CBO sites and monitor the quality of outreach and enrollment assistance activities. 6.Represent the CHP+ program and MAXIMUS at out-stationed offices by attending public meetings and events and conducting presentations, trainings, and educational activities to increase CHP+ enrollment. 7.Perform other duties as may be required by management. 8.This is a home-based position so the applicant must be willing to work from home.
The pay range is $30,000-$35,000.
