You live in a pretty area. We raised horses in Heyworth some time back which is about 12 miles from Bloomington in the center of IL.

Nice looking dogs you have there. My wife has been wanting a poodle for some time and I'm thinking about shopping for one pretty soon but good ones aren't so easily found where we are.

Good luck to you and welcome to the board Smiley

Thanks for the compliment on the puppies!  They are so darling now!  We had two litters, two weeks apart (3 pups each).  The three from the first litter are now gone to their new homes.  The other three will be ready to go in one more week.  I still have 2 females available.  They are so much fun!

Yes, my dogs have very very good bloodlines.  I am a retired groomer and love dogs - no pedigree necessary for loving - however, I really love the look of a quality poodle and searched a long time for mine.  They have some wonderful champions in their backgrounds that you usually don't get if you aren't showing.

People unfamiliar with poodles sometimes think they are woosie dogs but they are absolutely not.  They are smart, spunky little dogs that don't shed - perfect housedogs!  If your wife wants a dog, in the future, you really should consider a poodle.

I used to have a link to a site about a little creme male poodle that followed his owner when she rode her horse through some hilly rough country..... for miles.  He had his own little special made cowboy hat and everybody knew him for miles around.  I have walked my pair of females on 5 mile walks on our local bike path, many many times.  Used to do it every day but then got on a lazy kick but they love it.  It goes through a nice tree-lined wooded area with backwaters in one place.  We would manytimes see ducks, geese, fish flopping, etc. and sometimes racoon, deer, etc. when we were lucky.  There have been times that I swear my one female has almost went into a point.  She has a nose and is always sniffing/tracking along the sides of the trail.

They are great dogs!  You might want to check my website for new pictures in a few days.  I am going to clip the pups in the next couple days so they look like poodles (although I think they are darling like they are now too).  western message board/reallyredpoodles.western
