Seeking a permanent ranch position. Husband 41, wife 38 and two children 15(girl) and 9(boy) months. We have both grown up in ranching .  Experience in all aspects of ranching, calving, weaning, doctoring, haying, fencing, welding, mechanic ect.We are currently on a ranch in Nebraska and have been for 4 years.  We very much like a well maintained place and work hard to make improvements and keep things very nice.  Not drinkers at all, just very much like to spend time at home with our kids.Daughter and wife are barrel racers and we do enjoy some rodeos when time allows. Wife has experience in veterinary assisting, horse training.  We have a strong work ethic and believe we would be a valued asset in the right position.
Husband works well with others, but also is very much a self starter just knowing what needs to be done and getting it done. We would maintain a place beautifully , handle all aspects, and put a owner/managers mind at ease. Exrodeoent references. Please contact us if you are seeking a paint horse, responsible couple for your ranch. 308-665-1615 or email at niobraradanes@direcway.western (niobraradanes@direcway.western)

Walden Colorado, high country, 9,000 feet. Lots of snow and feed with a sled and work horse team. Calving now. Big rough dangerous country and the best place on the earth to work. Call the vet, Lanny Weddle and ask him. If anyone is looking for help, he'll know.

Steamboat Colorado, some working ranches and a lot of
"absentee owner" operations for tax write offs. Be prepared to take out the trash, wash their trucks and fluff up rich girls horses. call Lee Meyring, the bovine equine animal vet at Steamboat Veterinary Hospital and ask him. The owner Mike Gotchey has taught me more equine lab work than anyone, and a good friend.

Hyannis NE. University of NE, GSL. (Gunderson Sandhills Lab). Real cowboy job and good horses + the benefit of sitting in on all of the range classes and seminars. Extra education for free that I really enjoyed because I'm a scientist/cowboy. Good pay, benefits, health and retirement, state job. You will need to rent a house in Hyannis for a 90 day probation period before they hire you and give you housing.

Laramie, Cheyenne with Laramie being my first choice. call the vets, look in the local online papers.

Broken Bow. Cooksley cattle Company always looking for help. He's now a state senator I think, a real ranch raised nonononononono without a cowboy bone in his body. No good horses to speak of that are broke, but plenty of stock to start if you need to pick out a good horse. Kevin will give you less help is he's actually helping you instead of leaving you to do it yourself. Bad fences, cows always out in the neighbors corn. No facilities, doctor cattle by squeezing them behind a porta panel in some old broke down ranch house and tying them shut with hay string. LOTS of farming.

Pen rider jobs in BB for True Ranches feed company. Over 100,000 head.

Otherwise, look in the paper. Most of the calving is done, time for spring work and then go to hay ground.

Look here:

/thefencepost.western/classifieds, covers NE, Colo, Wyo.

If you want to look in the Dakotas try Pierre.ft. Pierre and Highmore. Don't forget Montana.

Good luck.

I kinda miss it, but my body doesn't. Too many bad wrecks and the Mexico sun is taking all that away. I guess I'll just stay here with my feet in the sand and maybe import some good QH mares to breed someday Smiley
